Consignor Info
How does consigning work?
You, the consignor, just price and tag your items, drop them off, and Second Cycle does the rest!! We advertise, set up shop and welcome shoppers in!
- If you'd like to consign with us, click the New Consignor Registration after reading this page and understanding a bit of what we're looking for. Please take time to read the information carefully!
- We require a $15 consignor fee that is taken out of your sales check after the sale.
- Begin entering your inventory after you log into your consignor homepage. Read our TAGGING TIPS & TRICKS for ways to make this much more efficient.
- Not sure about pricing it all yourself? Click here for information on our pricing service!
- Print tags on white or light colored CARDSTOCK. Tags will print 10/page. Please do not resize them. If they are printing blurry please stop printing. The scanner will not read blurry barcodes.
- Attach tags to your items. You may attach tags using safety pins or with a tagging gun. If you use a tagging gun, attach it to an existing tag or through a seam. DO NOT ATTACH THROUGH FABRIC! This creates a hole and we will not accept the item. On things such as books, games, etc., attach your tag with scotch tape but do not tape over the barcode. We have tagging guns you may borrow if you'd like- just contact us to set up a pick up time.
- Place your tagged items into boxes or totes that are clearly marked with your consignor number. We ask that you do not drop off items in bags as this makes sorting after the sale difficult.
- Drop off your goods at Venue 519 in Belle Fourche. (519 5th Ave.) Please use the FRONT door- there is close parking available in the alley. Sign up for a drop-off date/time in your consignor homepage.
- Earn 70% on items sold! Or more if you choose to volunteer! Volunteer 4 hours and earn 5% more of your sales. Enjoying it? Each 4 hour shift you work will earn you 5% more of your sales. Earn up to 85%!! Click here for volunteer information.
- After the sale, pick up unsold items when notified or choose to donate. (If you donate, there is no need to come at pick up unless you would like your totes/boxes.) Donated items may become the property of Second Cycle Resale.
- View your seller reports online and receive your check by mail or pick up in person 3-4 days following the sale!

Things to consider...
A few consigning tips to help you sell more:
- If you wouldn't buy it again, reconsider consigning it.
- If it seems a bit well loved, Second Cycle may not be the best place to sell it. Our customers are expecting gently used goods, not play clothes.
- Inspect it well for stains, holes, rips, etc. We check each and every item and will not hang damaged goods! We don't want you to spend your time pricing things for them to just end up in the 'not accepted' pile. (If it is a high-quality, name brand item with a minor flaw, note it on the tag (underneath the item description), and we will consider hanging it.)
- Give it a little TLC if it needs it. Wrinkly? Give it a pass with the iron. Loose threads? Snip em off. Dust on the shoes? Wipe em down. First impressions, you know...
- Use a general $2 rule - If any hanging item is not worth $2 please reconsider consigning it. (But, smaller items such as onesies, pajamas, etc. may be grouped together.) Only books may be marked less than $2.
Consignors are responsible for ensuring that none of their items have been recalled. Visit www.cpsc.gov to find recall information.
*Second Cycle Resale is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. All sales are final due to the nature of the sale.*
